The recent showing of the Ben Affleck film, Argo, raised a total of £138.60. After allowing for expenses, the profit has been split between the charity, Stand Against Violence and the Telephone Box Fund. Each will receive £50. Stand Against Violence aims to prevent violence, its long-term consequences and the grief of losing loved ones by delivering violence prevention workshops and talks with young people.
It was established in 2005 in response to the murder of 17 year-old Lloyd Fouracre, who was beaten to death by a group of drunken youths.
Just £3 helps us to train and prepare one young person and keep them safe from the consequences of violence.
