Open Gardens and Sculpture Walk 2019

Owing to the hard work, generosity and involvement of so many people in the village (many thanks to you all!) and despite the, let’s say, somewhat patchy weather on 8th and especially 9th June, nearly £1,400 was raised for St Francis Church.

The fantastic sculptures were a great addition to the lovely open gardens, veggie plots and the delightful Apple Vale Alpacas. All these as well as some rather delicious scones, cakes and cheerful goings-on including tea serving, plant selling and Big Hare (courtesy Jan Sweeney) and Big Wheel Yurt admiring at the Village Hall, all contributed to the considerable success of the event.

Buoyed by the success of all this, plans are even now starting to be made for the next one in 2021, so watch this space if you would like to be involved!
