Stawell Runners is a newish group started by Nick Dunsby. Around 20 villagers so far have been along on a Sunday morning and joined in with a run, jog or walk around the local country lanes. It has been great to see all abilities getting out and taking some exercise in the open air each week. Already there have been some great individual achievements and improvements.
The Stawell Runners have been meeting now for 10 weeks. During that time around 20 have supported the group and every Sunday there is a mix of regular attendees and those that come along as and when they are able. It has been great to see all abilities join in and see some really fantastic individual achievements. People like to challenge themselves but anyone can join in, walking or running or a combination of both!
Why not come and join in next Sunday. We meet in the Village Hall car park at about 9:50 am and do some warm-up exercises before taking to the lanes for our run at 10:00 am. Some folk just do a circuit round past Fruit and Honey Farm, others do the loop around Sutton Mallet while the keenest go out towards Moorlinch before returning via Sutton Mallet.
