Stawell Youth Club

The Stawell Youth Club was set up in May 2022 after a child  approached the Village Hall Committee to see if it was possible to set up a Youth Club for the children of the village.

The Club is very much led by the children of the village and open to anyone who lives in Stawell or Sutton Mallet. It is supervised by Denise Rogers and aided by other volunteers. Denise works in a Bridgwater school and is DBS checked (Cert No. 1578226718).

The Club meets on Friday evenings, during school term time, in the village hall from 5.15pm to 6.45pm.

Children have to be a minimum age of 8 years to join and although there is no upper age limit, the eldest at the moment is 15 years old.

The children take part in a variety of activities, including games, football, table tennis, dodgeball, gardening, cooking, bike rides, walks, and swimming to name but a few.

The cost of the Club is £2 per child which goes towards the cost of activities and snacks.

Planned trips include a visit to Greenbank Swimming Pool on 22 July 2022 and a trip to the Panto on Tuesday 20th Dec at the McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater. There is a possibility that the cost of the tickets will be kindly subsidised by the Parish Council. Parents would also be welcome to attend this event.

Club members recently designed a “Club Logo” and are in the process of getting Stawell Youth Club Hoodies ordered.  These have been kindly sponsored by residents of Stawell.

Please see the documents below to register your child. For more details about the club contact Denise direct via the Stawell Village Facebook Page or you can find her at …
